Kannur: The Union government has granted recognition to Kannur Medical College, a private self-financing institution at Anjarakandy here, for the award of the MBBS degree by Kannur University, a press release said here on Tuesday. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare accepted the recommendation made by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and notified that the MBBS degree would be a recognised medical qualification when granted by the university to the students from the college.
