Tiruvananthapuram: The decennial celebrations of the Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology, Anad, was inaugurated on Monday by Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi.

The Open House and the Technological Exhibition ‘MCETEX' were inaugurated by J. Letha Director, Technical Education, and ‘Colloquium – 12', the national-level technical festival, was inaugurated by Prahlad Vadakkepat, Professor, National University of Singapore. The inaugural ceremony began with Rani Mohandas, secretary, VNGP Trust, delivering the welcome address. Actor Suresh Gopi inaugurated ‘Illuminati – 12', the cultural fest. The inauguration of two-day national conference ‘ASPES-12' was done by Dr. Krishnan, Dean Academics, IIST. The function was presided over by Asha Latha Thampuran, director of the college. Dean Administration M. Sobha proposed the vote of thanks.
